Optometrist

Brian Norman O.D.

Dr. Norman was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He attended Indiana University School of Optometry and has been practicing in Cape Girardeau since 1999.

He met his lovely wife Laura (formerly Dinkins of Cape Girardeau) while studying at Indiana University. They have 5 grown children: Caleb, university minister at UNT in Denton, TX; Lillian, collaborative teacher at Prodigy Leadership Academy in Cape Girardeau; Joseph, Ear, Nose, & Throat resident in Detroit, MI; Samuel, a Masters student in Sports Management at Mizzou; and, Elisha, recent JHS graduate, beginning Electrical Power Management (lineman) at State Tech in Linn, MO. Dr. Norman’s wife is also a teacher (Reading Specialist) at Prodigy Leadership Academy. They are members at Fruitland Community Church and enjoy missions. Dr. Norman’s hobbies include pickleball, hiking, travelling, kayaking, fishing, racquetball, chess, YouTube, and last but not least, going to the beach.

Mary Lou is our Office Receptionist and Optical Assistant. She and her family moved to the Cape Girardeau area in 2012 when her husband retired from the U.S. Army Chaplaincy.

Penny has been an Optician for us since 2018 after retiring as a FACS teacher (Family and Consumer Science/Home Economics).

Marsha Lappe

Marsha enjoys being with people. She and her husband Butch live on the family farm in Friedheim, MO. They have two children and four grandchildren.
